Annual Meeting

Time: Monday April 19th at 7 pm

Location: Colvin Town Hall in Markham MN

Meeting followed by Ms. Pamela Brunfelt presenting: ‘Iron Range: Minnesota Building America’.

Dear Friends,

Hello to spring. Can you believe that last year at the time this newsletter came out we were still cleaning up after a snowstorm? What a different March we had this year.

Our annual meeting will be Monday April 19th at 7 pm at the Colvin Town Hall in Markham, MN. We will have a short meeting followed by Ms. Pamela Brunfelt presenting: ‘Iron Range: Minnesota Building America’.

Pam is currently a member of the faculty at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minnesota, where she teaches courses in American History and Political Science. As a life-long Iron Ranger and historian, she has the unique capability to blend her deep regional knowledge with her scholarship in American history.

Since the last newsletter the shingles were put on the white sauna. There aren’t many roofs left. We are always looking for things to do around the farm. Try and come to one of our regular meetings on the last Monday of the month at 6 pm at the Colvin Town Hall and join in the discussion.

A Memorial Fund has been set up to honor the following:

Thank you to those who have helped established this fund, which will be used for a special project at the farm.

Kiitos!
Darlene Saumer,
President

Meetings are the last Monday of the month, 6:00 P.M. at the Colvin Town Hall located on Vermilion Trail (Hwy #4) in Markham.

Our annual meeting will be in April with date to be determined. There will be a guest speaker, entertainment, and a lunch in the Finnish Tradition.

Memberships are $15.00 per year with our membership drive being in April.

Any questions call Darlene at 218-638-2859.

Kiitos!
